| Couples who wish to be married at Emmanuel
Church must meet the following requirements: |
- The couple must meet with the rector at least
three times for premarital planning and counseling
and must complete all reading assignments. Couples
who live out of town may receive counseling from
a local parish priest, who then must notify the
rector in writing.
- The date of the wedding must be at least three
months from the time of the first inquiry.
- Weddings for those who have been divorced are
subject to the approval of the Episcopal Bishop
of Rhode Island. The rector will petition the Bishop.
- All participants must attend a one-hour rehearsal
at 5:00pm the evening before the wedding.
- The service must conform to the liturgy of the
Book of Common Prayer.
- Photographs and video recordings take place only
at the discretion of the officiating clergy.
- From time to time it may be necessary for the
officiating priest to be someone other than the
rector.
- The couple must use the Emmanuel Church music
director/organist, who will coordinate all music,
including instrumentalists and soloists. The director
also will approve all music, which must be artistically
and theologically appropriate for Christian worship.

- Fee Schedule:
$3700 - includes fees for church building, clergy,
organist and sexton
A $1500 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm
your date.
The balance will be due 30 days prior to the wedding
date.
If additional musicians are desired, an additional
fee will be charged
